This simple statement below is something that I have to remind myself of
DAILY. It’s so easy to begin thinking that just because I’m not doing this or
that, it means that I have the upper hand or am better than the next. FALSE.
God doesn’t measure sin on a grading scale. Sin is sin. PERIOD. So before I
start thinking that my works and my goody too shoe attitude puts me above the
next, Lord HUMBLE ME! That’s
a continuous prayer I pray. I remember a time when I was so deep in my Word and
I was at such an amazing place in my walk with Christ. Although it’s definitely
a wise decision to watch the company you keep, that doesn't mean look down on
people or ever think you’re better than the next. I remember so clear that I
just KNEW I could withstand this particular temptation and sure enough, I
walked in head first and FELL flat on my head. WHOA. Not Ms. Perfect. Ha! So I
constantly remind myself that I must NEVER become prideful. There’s nothing
that I can conquer in my own strength. There’s nothing that comes because I’m
some perfect lady in God’s eyes. Even when I’m so undeserving, He still blesses
me. That in itself should be enough to humble me. Even when I am a mess, He
still accepts me and wants to make me pure. So before I judge or even fix my
mouth to down talk the next, I pray God opens my eyes and heart to always remember Without Him, I AM NOTHING.

Vow Renewal.
"I'm not going back. I'm moving ahead. Here to declare to you, my past is over.
In
You, all things are made new. Surrendered my life to Christ, I'm
moving....FORWARD!"
On
March 22,2015, at Faith Life International Church in Orange City Florida, I
gave my life back to Christ. As I write this, the question that the pastor
asked me is ringing in my heart: "Do you understand what you're
doing?"
Whoa.
I literally just said GOODBYE to MY plans and said "God, take the wheel of
my entire life!" That means that I no longer enjoy or seek the things of
this world, but I CHASE and seek God's face. I no longer follow the traditions
and the ways of this world, I seek God's direction for my life and follow
HIM. I am no longer broken. I am no longer on an emotional roller coaster. I am
no longer the same person because 2 Corinthians tells me that:
This
means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life
is gone; a new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT)
I no
longer walk with my head held down or shameful of my past because I've been
redeemed and forgiven! I no longer allow my past to torment me or let my
current situations bring me down because I can place ALL my cares and worries
at the feet of Christ. There's nothing that I have to go through alone because
I have a God that can and will be with me through everything. Right there with
me...pushing me to go further. Right there giving me calm even when chaos
surrounds. Right there convicting me of my wrongs and drawing me to true
repentance. Not condemning me, but correcting me as a loving Father
would.
I no
longer harbor unforgiveness in my heart because I have forgiven in the
name of Jesus. All of my negative feelings of jealousy, envy, bitterness,
anger, depression, dishonesty, etc. will be replaced with things of God.
[But
the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There
is no law against these things! (Galatians 5:22-23 NLT)]
My
life is so much bigger than what I can see. I've been blinded for far too long
and I want and need clear vision and who better to seek than the creator of my
life. I no longer place my trust in man or this world. I no longer give my
time, my energy, or my heart to things or people that don't deserve it. I no
longer seek to find joy in temporary and material things.
God
is my joy. God is my peace. God is my healer. God is my everything.
Before
I run to man, I run to and cling to Christ. Before I allow my fickle emotions
to send me on a whirlwind of emotions, I seek God for my clarity and comfort
when I don't understand.
My
name is Alesha Wright and I have renewed my vows with God.

Frame your mind.
"Father, fill my every spare moment with thoughts of you and your love for me. I want to ponder your Word and your glory in my heart all day long."
This is such a relatable plea. I'm starting to make an intentional goal of purposely dwelling and marveling in the good. It's so easy to constantly replay things that didn't make us feel good. But how much better would we feel if we used the same energy and time to purposely focus on the good? I don't want to live my life being bitter, jealous, spiteful, depressed, isolated, fearful, or unmotivated.
If only we could take the time to TRULY realize that despite the bad, there's always good. I truly believe that we can make a situation much worse than it actually is. I've definitely been guilty of thinking about a negative situation, then thinking about the "what ifs", and in return becoming more upset about things that COULD have happened.
I don't want to be the "negative nancy" that everyone tries to stay away from because my negative spirit is so thick and dampens other's moods by just being around me. I want to be filled with the things of Christ so that HIS light shines through me even in dark places. How many times have you been in such a good mood, but then you go around a person and they're upset or just down, and your mood quickly shifts to that gloomy mood? Now think about a time where you were feeling down, but you went around someone that was full of energy and bubbly...didn't it lighten your mood (even if just a little).
I'm done with the negative. My mission is to constantly seek and chase the positive. Life is beautiful. GOD IS AMAZING. Just thinking about who God is and what He's capable of is enough to make me full of joy. If only we can just continuously hold God and His truths in our heart, oh how brightly we would shine....
So join me in this challenge:
The moment you start thinking about something negative or you feel a situation impacting you in a negative way, CAST DOWN THOSE THOUGHTS and start thinking about God's promises. Fight back. Don't let those fickle emotions or toxic thoughts run you....GOD IS BIGGER THAN IT ALL!!!

&& she shall begin blogging again soon....
When I blog, it's never just because I'm bored or what have you. I vowed that when I first started this blog, that I would ALWAYS let God lead me whenever I posted a blog. Life got crazy, I've slipped and fell, and I completely lost sight, but I'M COMING BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!
I'm not sure what my next blog will be about, or even the exact day and/or time I will post it, but God is definitely tugging at my heart to start back. So....
Pressing toward the Goal
Philippians 3:12-16 New Living Translation (NLT)
12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
15 Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you. 16 But we must hold on to the progress we have already made.

GET BACK TO THE TRUTH!
This is not my usual blog and honestly it's very hard for me to write it, but I know that it must be written...
People are dying and going to hell DAILY! There's SO many lost souls and we as "Christians" are sitting around so complacent and unaffected. We are afraid to get out of our little comfortable lifestyles and get uncomfortable for a little while in order to reach the next person. We are so focused on self and missing the people that are right before our eyes crying for help. This is NOT ok. We say we want to be used by God and want God to do this and that for us, but we are failing to do what HE has called us to do. We pray prayers like "break my heart for what breaks yours" and we obviously don't realize what exactly a prayer such as this entails. I was laying in bed and all I could do is think about how selfish we can be. We are worried about getting a platform before we do something. We are worried about followers on twitter. We are worried about the latest fashion and celebrity gossip. We are worried about finding love and making all this money to please people that don't have a heaven or a hell to put us in. It's so sad and I know God is grieved and probably even angry. We always look at God as this super passive being, when there are countless of times where he got fed up and people felt His wrath. Yes he is forgiving and yes He knows your heart, but "what is your heart?" The heart isn't always the prettiest, nor is it always right. ( The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” (Jeremiah 17:9, 10 NIV)
There are so many preachers that are totally neglecting what's important. They are preaching messages that have nothing to do with TRULY saving a person's soul. They are being catalysts to a bigger problem. People are already "chasing paper(money)" in order to please the next person or stay up to date with the latest fashion for some likes on Facebook, yet they don't know God. No where in the Bible does it tell me that I am successful because I have the biggest house. No where in the Bible does it tell me that I'm a good woman because I have on the shortest skirt, a degree, and I'm so independent. We have gotten so far away from THE TRUTH and it's getting worse. (What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? (Mark 8:36 NIV)
We have to stop looking to messages and people that are driving us further away from God's will for our lives. We have to stop expecting God to bless our mediocrity. Just because you are JUST having sex with one person and you two are "in love" and have been together for four years, but AREN'T married means NOTHING to God except, disobedience. People think this is ok. "Friends" are looking at friends and praising them for things that are so completely wrong, when they should be telling them the truth.
We have to stop playing with fire. Stop dabbling in sin and thinking just because you aren't doing this like the next person, you're super Christian. We are all human and have fallen short, but that doesn't mean make excuses. Get back to the basics and REALLY live this walk out. Stop worrying about people calling you "holier than thou" or "super saved." While I do believe there are some people that are WAY too deep and need a balance(that's another blog for another day), there are some people that are just GENUINELY passionate about pleasing God and spreading THE TRUTH because they love God and are really saddened by all the lost souls.
There's so much more to this Christian walk than going to church on Sunday, looking to God ONLY when we are going through, and just half stepping. We are meant to be disciples. It's time to suit up and stop PUNKING out or sitting around because you're afraid of what people will think of you.
I pray that we start REALLY being passionate about this thing. Stop causing division amongst ourselves because of jealousy. We could all be so powerful if we really remember that all the glory belongs to Christ anyway in the end. Let's spread God's word, truth, and L O V E people. So many people are truly lost and God is calling warriors to do what we're supposed to.
What are you doing to advance the kingdom of God? Why are you doing it? Why are you NOT doing it?
Daily heart check, motive check, and priority check needed! Lets get to work!

Rest your weary little soul...
I just wanted to give a little encouragement to anyone that comes across this.
4
It's 1:01am and I just finished having a little "quiet time" with Jesus. It is seriously one of the most peaceful places ever. If I'm having a rough day, feeling frustrated with life, confused about things, feeling down,or just simply wanting to be intimate with Him, I result to this place.
Life can get hectic. People frustrate us. We get confused about what to do next. We thought we had this particular thing figured out, then things change and we're back at square one. We start looking around and comparing our lives to others. Our mind just really starts running rampant and you just feel completely overwhelmed (mentally, physically, emotionally, and even spiritually.)
I just wanted to encourage you, that if this is you, REST. Just take some time, go somewhere alone, and really let Jesus do what He wants to do. Don't run. Rest in Him. It's one of the safest places you can be. When you allow Him to enter into Your life, He's able to overwhelm you with things such as peace, protection, comfort, joy, and most importantly L O V E. How amazing is that? That someone can come in and take away all your fears. Take away all your worries. Will WILLINGLY take on what weighs you down. Be your calm in the chaos. Completely overwhelm you with unconditional love. Whew!
Picture this: Someone offers you a $1 million house that you can come to anytime. The house includes all the things you desire and need. All you need to do is be willing to allow the person to come in everyday and tend to it. This person promises to always come in and clean up. Replace items that get damaged. Remove any creatures, people, and toxins of any sort that may creep inside and try to pollute the house. All you need to do is allow the person to do so. The person lets you know that there are rules that you must abide by, but every single rule is to keep you safe and protected. The person informs you that there may be times when unexpected things occur, but as soon as you call, help will be right there. There will be nothing that you have to handle on your own. The house is protected. You just simply need to accept the invitation, be open to the structure and good things being offered, and trust that you'll have help with whatever damages or unexpected things may happen while there.
This is how I picture my "quiet time" with Jesus. I picture it being such a sacred place. My safe haven. I'm with someone that has paid such a high price for me and I want to allow Him to come in whenever he wants. He's always on call whenever I need him. I don't want Him to become a stranger or ever forget to simply just thank Him for everything. I always want to allow Him to come in and remove, rebuild, and repair when I'm all bent out of shape. I know that he'll always replace whatever He feels needs to be removed, with what He knows I need.
I want to encourage you to tell yourself that you're not going to dwell on the negatives anymore. Instead, you'll allow yourself to dwell only in His presence. Don't run from Him. Embrace Him. Know that if you're in His will and desiring to please Him above all else, whatever happens (good or bad), he'll be there to help you. Allow Him to really take out all the impure things of your life and heart (whether it be a bad relationship, toxic friendships, bitterness, unforgiveness, jealousy, impatience, manipulation, depression, worry, etc). Just know that he will always fill you back up with things that are so much more beneficial. (Galatians 5:22-23- But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!)
Spending time with Jesus is something that should be on your priority list. It enhances your life. Lightens your mood. Fixes your attitude. Helps you to be more caring towards people. So embrace it. Make it something that you desire and enjoy. With Him you're able to replace those negative thoughts, characteristics and feelings with His truth and likeness.
So get you some Jesus! Let Him love on you and fill you up with more things than this world or a person could ever offer you. YOU ARE LOVED.
P.s. Spending time with Him could simply just mean setting some time apart to simply thank Him and get intimate with Him. He deserves it. :)
>>>>Some encouraging scriptures that I mediate <<<<<
1 Peter 5:6-7 New Living Translation (NLT)
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
Matthew 11:28 New Living Translation (NLT)
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Psalm 37:3-4 New Living Translation (NLT)
3
Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
4
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.
Proverbs 4:25-27 New Living Translation (NLT)
25
Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you.
26
Mark out a straight path for your feet;stay on the safe path.
27
Don’t get sidetracked;keep your feet from following evil.
Philippians 4:6-7 New Living Translation (NLT)
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

The past few days, I have been really wrecked, checked, and challenged. I really just wanted to share and encourage a few things with my beautiful ladies.
I'm currently in a relationship, and let me tell you, IT IS WORK! Not to the point of it being a burden, but it is so completely different for various reasons. The main reason is we are striving to make sure that our relationship is pleasing to God above all else. I have never really been in a relationship where I had real boundaries. The transition of the way that I was doing it in previous relationships, to how we're doing it now has definitely been rewarding, yet work. Despite every conflict, I can honestly say that I wouldn't have it any other way with another person. (*blushes and smiles super hard*)
Ok, in a nutshell, I just really wanted to encourage my ladies PLEASE DON'T SETTLE. I can't stress that enough. Let me say this first, nobody is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and every single person has fallen short in one way or another, so please eliminate this idea of finding "the perfect guy." He doesn't exist. Sorry. Now, despite that truth, it doesn't mean you have to settle. It saddens me that so many of us have this messed up idea of "love." We as humans are so conditional. We love people because they make us "feel" so amazing. We love people because they do this and do that. THEN once they stop, we "fall out of love." Ah! Once we really get the purpose of relationships and solid truths on what love truly is and isn't, we would be so much better off.
I really am praying for every single young woman living on this Earth. That we realize that we are such a valuable asset to a man. We are so precious and we deserve nothing less than the best. We have to stop the cycle of being with a guy and investing our energy, precious time and hearts into relationships that have been ongoing for YEARS and he still "isn't sure if he wants to marry you." Stop giving all the benefits that should be saved for YOUR HUSBAND to boyfriends and even "friends that you have no clue if you're together or not."
Once you find a real man it will be so evident. He states his intentions and his ACTIONS back up his words. You don't have to worry about being another option. He is so focused on YOU. He communicates with you, he desires to help you grow, he prays with and for you, he protects you, he isn't afraid to show you off. You aren't a secret! Stop settling for a man that tells you that "you're his main and that he is coming home to you, so all the other girls he has don't matter." WHAT? You should NOT have to stress yourself or worry about any other girls. Get out of that mentality. Either you're THE ONLY ONE or nothing at all. You shouldn't have to manipulate a guy into being with you. A real man will actively pursue what he wants. You shouldn't have to cry for attention or reassurance. You should NEVER constantly feel like your man doesn't care for you or continuously have to question. Stop making excuses for these young men because we are just catalysts in their nonsense.
YOU ARE SO PRECIOUS! Don't settle just because you see others around you in a relationship. Don't settle because you are impatient and lonely.Being single is not a disease. Embrace that time. Spend as much time with God as possible and let him develop you into a woman that a true man looks for. When that man comes along, you won't have to try to seduce him or be extra in order to capture his attention. There will be something about you that just exudes. LET GOD PRUNE AND DEVELOP YOU. It's not the easiest process, but it is so beneficial. You will start to truly realize your worth and be confident in knowing that any man that has you is blessed. Sometimes we are stuck in relationships because we are the ones chasing the man and trying to get him to "notice how amazing we are." NO! Rest. Relax. Focus on pleasing God through your lifestyle and that man will come. The man is the pursuer.
If you're in a relationship and you know that this guy is playing games, please get out. I know it's not always the easiest to do, but it can be done. If you are uncertain about whether or not you should continue in the relationship with this guy, set some time aside with just YOU AND GOD and really truly seek Him for counsel. Stop making excuses for yourself and these guys. Your time is valuable and you don't need to be investing another day into something that you know isn't going to last. If you're in a relationship and you and the guy are having sex, I really want to encourage you to stop if you aren't married. It may seem good, but everything that seems good really isn't. Don't be afraid to ask him his intentions. Don't be afraid to ask him what the primary goal(s) of the relationship is. YOU NEED TO KNOW. This way you can decide whether or not you're willing to stick around and work through things or hit the nearest exit because it's clear he's just looking for convenience. A real man knows what he wants. He has standards and he isn't about games. He understands the value of a woman and surely understands the value of a wife. I pray that we as women desire to be WIVES. YES! A WIFE. Not a 10 year girlfriend. That's nonesense.
I have not always been at this point and I definitely am not perfect, but I have a desire to please GOD above all else. I don't claim to know it all, but I have definitely experienced many things and have learned some valuable lessons. During my single stage, I FRANTICALLY stalked God. I asked him to prepare me for my future man. I asked him to develop and prune me and IT WAS NOT EASY. Even though I'm in a relationship, I still need God. He is my rock and is all up and through this relationship. The moment I feel like I've taken my eyes off him, I stop and refocus. I can't do this without Him and I acknowledge that. As I stated before, we aren't perfect, so I have to truly seek Him when my boyfriend is frustrating me or vice versa. He gives me the hook up on how to handle many situations. (*winks*)
If you're single and really desiring to be in a relationship, PLEASE BE PATIENT. Focus on a better you and trust that God will come through. Trust His timing. I can honestly say I am so thankful for my single stage. It wasn't easy, but with God it was SO MUCH EASIER. Once I took my eyes off of when my man would come, it happened in the most unexpected way. There are certain things that I learned during my single stage when I was pressing into God, that are so valuable for me now. Stop going on these casual dates just because you're lonely and bored. Everyone doesn't deserve your time. Spend time with God and really feed your spirit with positive things. It is such a crucial time to guard yourself. Get around women that aren't bitter. Get around women that encourage you to wait and not settle. Get around women that aren't jealous or catty and not always gossiping or encouraging that "there aren't any good men" mentality. Sometimes it's us, not the men.
Again, I really really pray that you let God take control. Whether it be in your relationship, or in your single stage. I am here if anyone needs to talk. I pray that EVERY single person that reads this really takes some time and press into God and that He comes through and gives you clarification, peace, and you experience His true love. If you're reading this and need someone to talk to and/or pray with or for you, feel free for contact me.
God bless.

If you're reading this and need someone to talk to and/or pray with or for you, feel free for contact me.
God bless.
