GET BACK TO THE TRUTH!

This is not my usual blog and honestly it's very hard for me to write it, but I know that it must be written...
People are dying and going to hell DAILY! There's SO many lost souls and we as "Christians" are sitting around so complacent and unaffected. We are afraid to get out of our little comfortable lifestyles and get uncomfortable for a little while in order to reach the next person. We are so focused on self and missing the people that are right before our eyes crying for help. This is NOT ok. We say we want to be used by God and want God to do this and that for us, but we are failing to do what HE has called us to do. We pray prayers like "break my heart for what breaks yours" and we obviously don't realize what exactly a prayer such as this entails. I was laying in bed and all I could do is think about how selfish we can be. We are worried about getting a platform before we do something. We are worried about followers on twitter. We are worried about the latest fashion and celebrity gossip. We are worried about finding love and making all this money to please people that don't have a heaven or a hell to put us in. It's so sad and I know God is grieved and probably even angry. We always look at God as this super passive being, when there are countless of times where he got fed up and people felt His wrath. Yes he is forgiving and yes He knows your heart, but "what is your heart?" The heart isn't always the prettiest, nor is it always right. ( The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” (Jeremiah 17:9, 10 NIV)
There are so many preachers that are totally neglecting what's important. They are preaching messages that have nothing to do with TRULY saving a person's soul. They are being catalysts to a bigger problem. People are already "chasing paper(money)" in order to please the next person or stay up to date with the latest fashion for some likes on Facebook, yet they don't know God. No where in the Bible does it tell me that I am successful because I have the biggest house. No where in the Bible does it tell me that I'm a good woman because I have on the shortest skirt, a degree, and I'm so independent.  We have gotten so far away from THE TRUTH and it's getting worse. (What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? (Mark 8:36 NIV)
We have to stop looking to messages and people that are driving us further away from God's will for our lives. We have to stop expecting God to bless our mediocrity. Just because you are JUST having sex with one person and you two are "in love" and have been together for four years, but AREN'T married means NOTHING to God except, disobedience. People think this is ok. "Friends" are looking at friends and praising them for things that are so completely wrong, when they should be telling them the truth.
We have to stop playing with fire. Stop dabbling in sin and thinking just because you aren't doing this like the next person, you're super Christian. We are all human and have fallen short, but that doesn't mean make excuses. Get back to the basics and REALLY live this walk out. Stop worrying about people calling you "holier than thou" or "super saved." While I do believe there are some people that are WAY too deep and need a balance(that's another blog for another day), there are some people that are just GENUINELY passionate about pleasing God and spreading THE TRUTH because they love God and are really saddened by all the lost souls.
There's so much more to this Christian walk than going to church on Sunday, looking to God ONLY when we are going through, and just half stepping. We are meant to be disciples. It's time to suit up and stop PUNKING out or sitting around because you're afraid of what people will think of you.
I pray that we start REALLY being passionate about this thing. Stop causing division amongst ourselves because of jealousy. We could all be so powerful if we really remember that all the glory belongs to Christ anyway in the end. Let's spread God's word, truth, and L O V E people. So many people are truly lost and God is calling warriors to do what we're supposed to.

What are you doing to advance the kingdom of God? Why are you doing it?  Why are you NOT doing it?

Daily heart check, motive check, and priority check needed! Lets get to work!

Rest your weary little soul...

I just wanted to give a little encouragement to anyone that comes across this.
It's 1:01am and I just finished having a little "quiet time" with Jesus. It is seriously one of the most peaceful places ever. If I'm having a rough day, feeling frustrated with life, confused about things, feeling down,or just simply wanting to be intimate with Him, I result to this place.

Life can get hectic. People frustrate us. We get confused about what to do next. We thought we had this particular thing figured out, then things change and we're back at square one. We start looking around and comparing our lives to others. Our mind just really starts running rampant and you just feel completely overwhelmed (mentally, physically, emotionally, and even spiritually.)

I just wanted to encourage you, that if this is you, REST. Just take some time, go somewhere alone, and really let Jesus do what He wants to do. Don't run. Rest in Him. It's one of the safest places you can be. When you allow Him to enter into Your life, He's able to overwhelm you with things such as peace, protection, comfort, joy, and most importantly L O V E. How amazing is that? That someone can come in and take away all your fears. Take away all your worries. Will WILLINGLY take on what weighs you down. Be your calm in the chaos. Completely overwhelm you with unconditional love. Whew!

Picture this: Someone offers you a $1 million house that you can come to anytime. The house includes all the things you desire and need. All you need to do is be willing to allow the person to come in everyday and tend to it. This person promises to always come in and clean up. Replace items that get damaged. Remove any creatures, people, and toxins of any sort that may creep inside and try to pollute the house. All you need to do is allow the person to do so. The person lets you know that there are rules that you must abide by, but every single rule is to keep you safe and protected. The person informs you that there may be times when unexpected things occur, but as soon as you call, help will be right there. There will be nothing that you have to handle on your own. The house is protected. You just simply need to accept the invitation, be open to the structure and good things being offered, and trust that you'll have help with whatever damages or unexpected things may happen while there.

This is how I picture my "quiet time" with Jesus. I picture it being such a sacred place. My safe haven. I'm with someone that has paid such a high price for me and I want to allow Him to come in whenever he wants. He's always on call whenever I need him.  I don't want Him to become a stranger or ever forget to simply just thank Him for everything. I always want to allow Him to come in and remove, rebuild, and repair when I'm all bent out of shape. I know that he'll always replace whatever He feels needs to be removed, with what He knows I need.

I want to encourage you to tell yourself that you're not going to dwell on the negatives anymore. Instead, you'll allow yourself to dwell only in His presence. Don't run from Him. Embrace Him. Know that if you're in His will and desiring to please Him above all else, whatever happens (good or bad), he'll be there to help you. Allow Him to really take out all the impure things of your life and heart (whether it be a bad relationship, toxic friendships, bitterness, unforgiveness, jealousy, impatience, manipulation, depression, worry, etc). Just know that he will always fill you back up with things that are so much more beneficial. (Galatians 5:22-23- But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!)

Spending time with Jesus is something that should be on your priority list. It enhances your life. Lightens your mood. Fixes your attitude. Helps you to be more caring towards people. So embrace it. Make it something that you desire and enjoy. With Him you're able to replace those negative thoughts, characteristics  and feelings with His truth and likeness.

So get you some Jesus! Let Him love on you and fill you up with more things than this world or a person could ever offer you.  YOU ARE LOVED.

P.s. Spending time with Him could simply just mean setting some time apart to simply thank Him and get intimate with Him. He deserves it. :)

The past few days, I have been really wrecked, checked, and challenged. I really just wanted to share and encourage a few things with my beautiful ladies.

I'm currently in a relationship, and let me tell you, IT IS WORK! Not to the point of it being a burden, but it is so completely different for various reasons. The main reason is we are striving to make sure that our relationship is pleasing to God above all else. I have never really been in a relationship where I had real boundaries. The transition of the way that I was doing it in previous relationships, to how we're doing it now has definitely been rewarding, yet work. Despite every conflict, I can honestly say that I wouldn't have it any other way with another person. (*blushes and smiles super hard*)

Ok, in a nutshell, I just really wanted to encourage my ladies PLEASE DON'T SETTLE. I can't stress that enough. Let me say this first, nobody is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and every single person has fallen short in one way or another, so please eliminate this idea of finding "the perfect guy." He doesn't exist. Sorry. Now, despite that truth, it doesn't mean you have to settle. It saddens me that so many of us have this messed up idea of "love." We as humans are so conditional. We love people because they make us "feel" so amazing. We love people because they do this and do that. THEN once they stop, we "fall out of love." Ah! Once we really get the purpose of relationships and solid truths on what love truly is and isn't, we would be so much better off.

I really am praying for every single young woman living on this Earth. That we realize that we are such a valuable asset to a man. We are so precious and we deserve nothing less than the best. We have to stop the cycle of being with a guy and investing our energy, precious time and hearts into relationships that have been ongoing for YEARS and he still "isn't sure if he wants to marry you." Stop giving all the benefits that should be saved for YOUR HUSBAND to boyfriends and even "friends that you have no clue if you're together or not."

Once you find a real man it will be so evident. He states his intentions and his ACTIONS back up his words. You don't have to worry about being another option. He is so focused on YOU. He communicates with you, he desires to help you grow, he prays with and for you, he protects you, he isn't afraid to show you off. You aren't a secret! Stop settling for a man that tells you that "you're his main and that he is coming home to you, so all the other girls he has don't matter." WHAT? You should NOT have to stress yourself or worry about any other girls. Get out of that mentality. Either you're THE ONLY ONE or nothing at all. You shouldn't have to manipulate a guy into being with you. A real man will actively pursue what he wants. You shouldn't have to cry for attention or reassurance. You should NEVER constantly  feel like your man doesn't care for you or continuously have to question. Stop making excuses for these young men because we are just catalysts in their nonsense.

YOU ARE SO PRECIOUS! Don't settle just because you see others around you in a relationship. Don't settle because you are impatient and lonely.Being single is not a disease. Embrace that time. Spend as much time with God as possible and let him develop you into a woman that a true man looks for. When that man comes along, you won't have to try to seduce him or be extra in order to capture his attention. There will be something about you that just exudes. LET GOD PRUNE AND DEVELOP YOU. It's not the easiest process, but it is so beneficial. You will start to truly realize your worth and be confident in knowing that any man that has you is blessed. Sometimes we are stuck in relationships because we are the ones chasing the man and trying to get him to "notice how amazing we are." NO! Rest. Relax. Focus on pleasing God through your lifestyle and that man will come. The man is the pursuer.

If you're in a relationship and you know that this guy is playing games, please get out. I know it's not always the easiest to do, but it can be done. If you are uncertain about whether or not you should continue in the relationship with this guy, set some time aside with just YOU AND GOD and really truly seek Him for counsel. Stop making excuses for yourself and these guys. Your time is valuable and you don't need to be investing another day into something that you know isn't going to last. If you're in a relationship and you and the guy are having sex, I really want to encourage you to stop if you aren't married. It may seem good, but everything that seems good really isn't. Don't be afraid to ask him his intentions. Don't be afraid to ask him what the primary goal(s) of the relationship is. YOU NEED TO KNOW. This way you can decide whether or not you're willing to stick around and work through things or hit the nearest exit because it's clear he's just looking for convenience. A real man knows what he wants. He has standards and he isn't about games. He understands the value of a woman and surely understands the value of a wife.  I pray that we as women desire to be WIVES. YES! A WIFE. Not a 10 year girlfriend. That's nonesense.

I have not always been at this point and I definitely am not perfect, but I have a desire to please GOD above all else. I don't claim to know it all, but I have definitely experienced many things and have learned some valuable lessons. During my single stage, I FRANTICALLY stalked God. I asked him to prepare me for my future man. I asked him to develop and prune me and IT WAS NOT EASY. Even though I'm in a relationship, I still need God. He is my rock and is all up and through this relationship. The moment I feel like I've taken my eyes off him, I stop and refocus. I can't do this without Him and I acknowledge that. As I stated before, we aren't perfect, so I have to truly seek Him when my boyfriend is frustrating me or vice versa. He gives me the hook up on how to handle many situations. (*winks*)

If you're single and really desiring to be in a relationship, PLEASE BE PATIENT. Focus on a better you and trust that God will come through. Trust His timing. I can honestly say I am so thankful for my single stage. It wasn't easy, but with God it was SO MUCH EASIER. Once I took my eyes off of when my man would come, it happened in the most unexpected way. There are certain things that I learned during my single stage when I was pressing into God, that are so valuable for me now. Stop going on these casual dates just because you're lonely and bored. Everyone doesn't deserve your time. Spend time with God and really feed your spirit with positive things. It is such a crucial time to guard yourself. Get around women that aren't bitter. Get around women that encourage you to wait and not settle. Get around women that aren't jealous or catty and not always gossiping or encouraging that "there aren't any good men" mentality. Sometimes it's us, not the men.

Again, I really really pray that you let God take control. Whether it be in your relationship, or in your single stage. I am here if anyone needs to talk. I pray that EVERY single person that reads this really takes some time and press into God and that He comes through and gives you clarification, peace, and you experience His true love. If you're reading this and need someone to talk to and/or pray with or for you, feel free for contact me.

God bless.

Psalm 37:4

New King James Version (NKJV)
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Video Blog

Watch if you please. :)

http://youtu.be/fKd409BB6Z8

My hearts' outpour.

Thank you Lord. Thank You for always tugging at my heart and leading me back to YOU. Thank You so much for Your Word. I trust You with my entire life. Help me to continue to surrender ALL my plans, desires, and entire being to You. There's not a single person on this Earth that can fulfill me like You can. Right now, I'm not sure of many things, but I am sure that YOU ARE REAL AND YOU ARE RIGHT BY MY SIDE THROUGH THIS ALL. I know that you want to use me for Your glory. Forget all these worldly desires of mine. Help me to stay focused on YOU. Not on my finances, my career, my future spouse, or all the things that could so easily make me worry. When I'm focused and aggressive about pleasing You above ALL else, I know that everything else will fall into place. When I seek You, I always feel You right here. I'm so sorry. Forgive me for all my sins and the constant willful falling. I thank You that You are working on and through me. You are pruning and developing me and I am totally ok with that because I know that I can't change myself. I love You, My life is Yours. Anything that You bless me with isn't because I deserve it, but because You are just that generous and loving. I don't settle because You have constantly shown me how valuable I am in Your sight. My beauty and worth doesn't come from this world. I don't yearn for any attention except Yours. I don't desire this worldly acknowledgment. I desire to PLEASE YOU AND WORSHIP YOU. There are people that You need me to reach. Purify my heart daily. Help me to feed my mind and heart with Your promises and not these false worldly advertisements. I am not jealous. I don't compare my life to the next. I am content with my portion because I know that what You have for me is for me. Help me to walk boldly into all that You have for me. Help me to willfully take the way that You would like for me to take. This isn;t about me. This is ALL ABOUT YOU! I acknowledge that I NEED YOU every single step of the way.  I thank You that You are making me into a gentle, loving, forgiving, and bold woman. A woman that doesn't gossip. A woman that prays for others rather than talk about them. A woman that doesn't entertain messy situations. A woman that doesn't shy away from saying and doing what You want me to. I thank you that You are preparing me for my future spouse and family. I thank You that I will master the art of submission to firstly YOU, then my husband. I thank You that I will raise my child(ren) to know and LOVE You. I thank You that I will be a prayer warrior and have faith in YOU! Thank You Daddy. Thank You so much. I love You so much. Have Your way. I surrender all over again.

Time to stalk You <3

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls...

November 14, 2012

11:07am

California

So, I was just having some alone time and as I was reading one of my current books entitled “A Man Worth Waiting For: How to avoid a bozo” by Jackie Kendall, I was moved to write this blog.  In this book I am reading, it compares traits of Boaz (read the book of Ruth in the Bible to get more insight on the story), to traits of a modern day “bozo”.  No person on this Earth is perfect, so if you’re looking for a perfect person, well, keep watching Disney movies. But it’s really time to stop staying in these meaningless relationships/flings just to fill a void or “just to have fun.” It’s ridiculous. Been there, done that and it’s NOT what you want to do nor is it worth it.

I’m really over hearing the whining about not being able to find a good girl or a good boy. Often times, we aren’t even in the position to receive a “good” guy or girl if they were presented to us. Let me say personally, I was one of those whiners. I was that bitter female. I was that typical and simple minded female that just thought I knew how to keep a man. I just knew that the reason behind whatever relationship or fling that ended, had nothing to do with me. I just knew I had it all together. GIRL PLEASE.

It’s really important that we start examining ourselves before we even worry about getting into a relationship. Start making sure we are whole and stable enough to be in a real relationship.

LADIES, Stop blaming these guys for what YOU ALLOW. Stop expecting some “grown boy” to treat you right when you’ve seen one million and one red flags. If you decide to stay longer, then shame on you. Get your standards up, and know where and where not to compromise. Stop looking at these broken celebrity relationships, and start getting some real, worthy counsel and examples. We have to eventually stop making all these excuses. We have to stop sulking in our “loneliness” and REALLY truly work on us. Let God start molding you, so that when that right young MAN comes along, you will recognize him and are then able to be that WOMAN that will be a prized possession to him, not that girl that drives him absolutely crazy. We have a job too ladies. STOP worrying so much about finding a man. He needs to actively and effectively pursue you, so get you some business and a life, and consume your heart with Christ. Trust that HE will give you the desires of your heart and that HE knows what’s best for you. So, stop letting these relationships and flings make you bitter. Learn from them. Stop making the same mistakes, and start really guarding your heart! (Proverbs 4:23) Be happy. Smile. And rest! Work daily on a better you.

Also, Ladies, we have to stop beating the men down and build them up. We can’t expect them to grow if we are trying to be so independent. This isn’t to say, be needy. NO! But, definitely stop babysitting these young men because as THE MAN, they are expected to lead.  Stop stumping their growth of possessing those leadership qualities, by settling and not requiring that they step up to the plate. Make sure that this young man is submitted to Christ before you go falling head over hills. I know personally, from the experiences I’ve had, I will NOT be able to fathom the thought of submitting to a man that isn’t actively pursuing Christ. I need to be able to respect the man that I am thinking about being with. That is among one of the top characteristics I will examine. I don’t care how much you “say” you love Jesus or me, I should be able to see this through action. I should be able to see the fruit on your tree. (Galatians 5:22-23) Are we constantly talking about sex and straying away from Christ, or are we encouraging one another sincerely and pushing each other towards Christ?  How does this young man respond to conflict? How does this young lady respond to conflict?  How does he/she talk to you? How often does he/she keep their word? How has he/she shown to be trustworthy? Don’t be naïve. As I said before, often times we see red flags, but refuse to acknowledge them just because we “want to be loved.” Ha!

Take heed young men, women are lethal too! Ladies don’t be that one that the Bible warns these young men about either. (Proverbs 5:7-14, Proverbs 6:23-35, Proverbs 7, Proverbs 31:3) Also read the story of Samson and Delilah and the story of Jezebel.  There are so many examples in the Bible. Don’t be that promiscuous girl ladies. Stop it! Remember this: “The very downfall of a man can be in the very hands of a woman.”

Ladies: Desire to be a lady that a man truly respects. Desire to be that lady that a man knows is valuable. Desire to be a man’s wife and queen, not a boo thang or side piece. Gentlemen: Be that man that respects women.  Value yourself as a man to only want a woman that respects herself.  Stop leading girls on. There’s a quote that says: “The biggest coward of a man is to awaken the love of a woman without the intentions of loving her.”

All in all, I just want to encourage everyone to embrace your single stage. Take this time to really let God do some work within you. Ask Him to make you more gentle. Ask Him to start implanting the fruits of the spirit within you, and start practicing them now. Water them and let them blossom and shine through you. Get rid of all that bitterness. Get rid of all that pride. Crash the pity parties and really truly work on being a better you. It’s so beneficial. It’s time to really grow up. Get some standards and keep them. Close your legs and stop opening legs and open your Bibles and some useful books.

Your time will come! Trust God and be patient.

Thirsty for more and more...of YOU

                9:03am

November 9, 2012

California

Currently Listening to Kierra Sheard: Desire

As I read my bible and such this morning, for some reason, one of the things that really stuck out to me was the very first verse from Psalm 63. It took me back to a few times when I didn’t really “feel” God’s presence, and I felt so empty. It took me back to the times when I couldn’t really pray, and I longed for that fire that I once felt to be ignited again.

Psalm 63:1 (King James Version) says: O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

Two other versions of this very verse, in simpler terms are:

Psalm 63:1 (New Living Translation) - O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.

Psalm 63:1 (Amplified Bible)- O GOD, You are my God, earnestly will I seek you; my inner self thirsts for You, my flesh longs and is faint for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is.

Ok, take a journey with me real quick.  Envision yourself in the middle of a really hot desert, let’s say 100+ degrees, and you haven’t had anything to eat or drink for two weeks. No water, no bread, nothing. Imagine the sun just beaming down, no shade, no pools, no lakes, and no stores, no communication with anyone. Just YOU. That would really be horrible. After two weeks without at least some water, imagine how you would feel. I know I would be so weak, fragile, empty, drained, lonely, barely feeling like I can make it through another day or even wanting to, and let’s not forget just extremely emotional. I would probably just lay there and weep.

How many times have you felt like this with a fridge filled with beverages and food? How many times have you felt just empty? Lonely? Over everything?

This verse and entire Psalm just reminded me how often God has met me in the very place I was when I desperately seeked Him. How many times he has filled me up when I went to him pouring out and just being honest with Him about how empty or upset I felt. How many times I would just get into that quiet place and really just want more of Him despite how good my day was.

Just as I would desperately want and need food and water in that desert after two weeks, I want to always be desperate for that same refill from God daily. I want to continue to desire Him and just embrace being in His presence. His peace is overwhelming and surpasses all understanding.  (Philippians 4:7) It is an amazing feeling and the refill that he provides isn’t temporary. John 4:14 says:  But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”
Life isn’t always the easiest. People aren’t always the nicest. Situations don’t always turn out how we want them to, but despite all that, GOD is still good and his love and comfort can completely wipe out any negative feelings. I just wanted to encourage everyone, the next time you are going through something, instead of running to a friend, or instead of seeking out some sort of void filler (sex, smoking, drinking, cursing someone out, etc.), SEEK God. I know there are times when the last thing you want to do is pray, but it is sooooo refreshing.  I’ve also experienced times where I couldn’t even pray because I was so heavy, but I can assure you God still stepped in. He can hear your heart’s cry, even if you can’t utter a word.

God will meet you where you are. Give Him that opportunity. God bless you all and I pray that God will consume you with His love, joy, and peace.

Jeremiah 29:13 says “If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
